4.9" / 3.1" RM True Concept quad set of four fins, solid black Pro Glass with a machined finish. FCSII compatible.
True to the original Quad fin concept comes this set of four fins. The original quad concept was to take the thruster set and improve its dynamics by maintaining control with extreme rail engagement. To achieve this goal the center fin was made into two fins but smaller to not increase drag. While on the rail, the rail side fin and near rear engage the wave surface to maintain control and produce speed and power in the turn. As the two rear fins are effectively a single in a thruster it is important that they have the same characteristics, namely a 50/50 foil. The forward rail fins have a flat inner face for enhanced maneuverability due to the area of low pressure produced on the outer curved face.
Dimensions: Rail side fins: Depth 4.9” 125mm Foil flat inner face. Rear fins: Depth 3.1” 80mm Foil 50/50

The essence of the Quad setup is to improve the thruster configuration, providing control during intense rail engagement. By splitting the central thruster fin into two smaller ones, it reduces drag. As the two rear fins are effectively a single in a thruster it is important that they have the same characteristics, namely a 50/50 foil. Engaged on the rail, the leading fin and its adjacent rear counterpart collaborate to grip the wave's surface, maintaining control. This combination of features produces the fantastic combination of drive, control, maneuverability and liveliness for which the quad fin system is renowned. This set consists of four FCSII compatible fins,
